How to Use Giphy to Convert GIFs into Live Photos on iPhone

Is there any GIF that you like a lot? Well, you can set it as a live wallpaper on your phone. You can also convert it into a 3D touch-enabled Live Photo that can be shared.

With the Giphy application for iPhones, you can easily transform any GIF from the Giphy website into a Live Photo for your iPhone. Let's check out the process to do so.

Step 1: Installing Giphy

Go to the Apple App Store and type Giphy in the search bar. Select the app from the search results and download it on your device. This application is available for free. With Giphy you will be able to easily convert GIFs into Live Photos and send it to others.

Step 2: Saving GIFs as Live Photos

After installing Giphy, tap on its icon to launch it. Now, go through the available GIFs and locate the one of your choice. Tap on the chosen GIF, and you will be led to its page. Now, press the menu icon below the picture, and tap on the Live Photos (Circle) icon. Now, just select an option for saving the GIF as Live Photo.

Step 3: Accessing the Live Photos

Now, simply launch the Photos app on your iOS device. You can find the converted GIFs in this app. To find them quickly, go to Camera Roll or Live Photos album. If you cannot find it in either of these folders, then try checking the Animated folder.

Optionally, you can turn GIFs into Live Photo wallpapers. To do so, just open the Live Photo on your phone and press the Share Sheet button. Now, tap on Use as Wallpaper and press the Set button after making adjustments. Decide whether you want the wallpaper for your home screen or lock screen.
